As a self-proclaimed ‘Passionista’ and an eternal optimist, Tumi is a firm believer in effective communication skills and she believes these are highly important traits in the client service environment.

Starting her career in sales at Caxton CTP Printers, she moved swiftly within the ranks to learn about the business of publishing. She worked on Caxton Knock n Drops, Style Magazine, Farmers Weekly and People Magazine. The DTI Quarterly Magazine, Ross Air Magazine. This opportunity allowed her to interact with the most amazing and diverse group of people in journalism and editors across different sectors. It is here she quickly learnt that good communication skills will help you build a great relationship with your clients in a way that reflects positively on the company.

Soon after leaving the publishing industry, she worked in the advertising space where she managed to touch most areas of communication working on/with clients such, Brand SA, Transnet National Ports authority, Liberty Properties, Revlon, GCIS, Ithuba Lotto, Green Building Council of SA, Glenryck SA.

During her time on the client side, Tumi was appointed as Marketing Manager for the Windybrow Theatre and also had the opportunity to work at Uniliver Arabia In the UAE as assistant Brand Manager for Lipton’s Tea and eventually Brand Manager for Dove Deodorants range.

Tumi approaches everything in her life with the same level of intensity and consistency and all because of her willingness to learn and to always do better.
